Action Sports

BMX

World class action sport demos help make CityFest the biggest free show of the year. Marvel at what the Action Sports Outreach BMX team can do on two wheels. Hold your breath while the MX13 FMX freestyle motocross athletes soar several stories above the crowd. Cheer on the skateboard pros from Boarders for Christ as they shred their custom built ramps and jumps.

Two shows daily: 12:30 and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. No ticket required.

Don’t miss it.

Yakima Valley CityFest will include:

BMX

Led by BMX legend Vic Murphy, Action Sports Outreach has toured the world making impossible things possible on and off two wheels. Their BMX demos have thrilled crowds from Europe and Africa to the tracks of NASCAR, and their videos have captured the excitement of performing before massive audiences as well as to small groups of devoted BMX enthusiasts. Their 2010 travels include trips to Uganda, the United Kingdom, and selected stops on the motorsports circuits.

BOARDERS FOR CHRIST

San Diego-based BOARDERS FOR CHRIST is a team of professional skaters who are dedicated to sharing their faith through their amazing talents and off-the-hook demos and exhibitions. This is a high impact ministry that takes every event at which they appear to another level…they always come prepared to “go big.”

Skate culture has never been stronger, and one of the best ways to inspire youth is with a team that not only puts on an amazing exhibition but also shares their faith and interacts with their audiences one-on-one before and after the demo. Several team riders are national competitors and are sponsored by companies such as Active Ride shop, DC Shoes, Ethos skateboards, and Nike.

MX13 Freestyle Motocross

For over 13 years, MX13 FMX has brought the thrilling spectacle of freestyle motocross to rock concerts and rodeos, fairs and festivals, and NFL fields and NASCAR tracks around the country. Front man Justin Homan has been a top FMX competitor for close to a decade and is credited with creating FMX trick variations like the “Holyman.”  The team prides itself on being positive role models for kids while expanding the world of possibilities on motorcycles that fly.
