Rod's House

Rod’s House is a drop-in center for homeless youth. Rod’s House is in a growing phase. The program and site facility are in need of many physical supplies as well as general financial support.

Painting Homes

Ongoing projects. Contact for specifics. -

Homes for elderly, widows, and veterans are in desperate need of painting. Homes will be prepped in anticipation of volunteer teams coming to paint. Ideally, a group of eight individuals will be able to complete a home within a day. Supplies provided

Neighborhood Revitalization Near the Fairgrounds

10-15 individuals for 5-7 days -

This project addresses the need for revitalizing the neighborhood adjacent to the fairgrounds. In coordination with the City, a team of volunteers is needed to clean up the area east of Fair Ave,, north of Pacific Ave, and south of Maple St.

The Madison House Community Youth Center serves its community by meeting the needs of those who live in the neighborhood. Volunteers are needd to conduct surveys of individual households and initiate relationships with those who live near the Center.

Primitive Trail Construction on the Greenway

A primitive trail within the vicinity of the Old Boise Cascade Mill ponds would be a great addition to the Greenway. Teams are needed for planting, weeding, trail construction, junk removal, and signage. Equipment provided. 10-30 people for 1-3 days.

Place Where Kids Can Play

5-10 individuals for 1-5 days -

Transforming a basement room into a playground for kids at the Madison House. The work is largely cosmetic and involved framing in a doorway and window to create one single wall, patchwork on existing concrete walls and painting. Materials provided.

Habitat for Humanity

April - June, 10 volunteers per day -

Help build a five-bedroom home for recent widow and her five children. This project is ideal for several churches to adopt. The work can begin as early as April to be completed by the end of June. Work days can be arranged for anytime Mon - Sat.
