Develop Your Festival Prayer Strategy

1.  Show the short presentation video to your congregation.

  • Download a sample launch script.

2.  Pass out Yakima Valley CityFest prayer cards and challenge your congregation to pray for their friends and family who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to begin one.

  • Ask them to invite these friends to join you at your church’s Season of Service (SOS) project and to come to the festival July 17-18, 2010 at State Fair Park.
  • Order your free prayer cards online now!

3.  If you are doing a Season of Service project, include the details in your bulletin.

UTILIZE ...

...existing prayer networks in your church to further your prayer strategy. Ideas include:

  • Fasting and prayer on behalf of the nonbelievers in your community.
  • Prayer walks (around churches, neighborhoods, businesses, schools, and at the festival site.
  • Pray for the festival during regular prayer gatherings, Sunday school classes, and small group meetings.
  • Incorporate weekly CityFest prayer updates on your church website.
  • Pray for the Season of Service to touch lives and bless our region throughout the year.
  • Pray over specific prayer requests for CityFest.
